More Great News...

What would you do if you woke up and found
out you had won the lottery?

Imagine winning $319,000.000?
Well, that's exactly what happened to seven lucky
New Yorkers. Each of them will walk away with an
estimated $19 Million Dollars.

Pretty nice.

Many people dream of winning the lottery. They
fantasize about how they would spend the money
and live the rest of their lives as millionaires.

Some have managed to make the millionaire
transition with a fair degree of success...others not
so much.

Billion Dollar Fantasy
Okay. I confess to having this fantasy too...only my
fantasy is a little more extreme. I think: What would
it take for me to generate a $1,000,000,000 (that's
billion) dollars?

I've always wondered what it would be like to be a
billionaire? Truth is I know exactly what I would do.

I'd spend the rest of my life giving $900,000,000
dollars away and I'd still be Rich Beyond Any
Measure. I can't even imagine any other reason
for being a billionaire. Keeping score?
Accumulating even more? Why?

Secret Billionaire
So that's my secret fantasy. Is that crazy? Perhaps
it is far fetched. But I've always been a dreamer and
sometimes my dreams actually do come true. So why
not go for the biggest dream of all?

Why not shoot for something that I would love to
do more than anything else in the world?

Why not?

I actually wrote up a plan for this years ago...but I
never shared it. I think I was afraid of what people
might say or think. So here it is (not the plan, but
the thought of being a billionaire),--as crazy as it
might seem--in print for the first time.

I've secured a domain name for my fantasy project
and will, at some point, share my original plan. I'll
also reveal my domain name on this blog.

Has anyone ever done anything like this? You
might be surprised to learn the answer is yes.

I just learned about it today, but it happened late
in 2010. An elderly Canadian couple won $11.2
million dollars and gave almost all of it away.

Can you imagine that? I can and it's another story
that I call More Great News.

They say they haven't bought a thing.

"Nothing." Violet Large told the Canadian
Broadcasting Corporation "We haven't bought one
thing. That's because this is nothing we need."

"I'm quite happy with what we've got," Allen
Large told the CBC. "Money can't but happiness."

They decided to use the money to help others. They
took care of family first and then made donations to
churches, fire departments, hospitals and the Red
Cross among others. They said it "made them feel
good."

What a great story! In a world rife with turmoil, it's
good to find More Great News. Happily, gratitude
and generosity continue to be newsworthy topics.

So that's my rant for today. I'll keep doing the "Pay
It Forward" theme with emphasis on the Law Of
Attraction and perhaps I'll awaken from my dream
with the next billion dollar idea.

MEGA QUAKE AND TSUNAMI IN JAPAN...A PROFOUND MESSAGE.

In the aftermath of Japan's 9.0 earthquake and tsunami,
there remains hope on the horizon.

This horrendous natural disaster has exploded onto the
world scene as yet another example of how powerful
Mother Earth and the Universe can be.

Heart wrenching videos depict the scope of something
too big to fully comprehend...the enormity of pain and
suffering...and the challenges that lie ahead.

In the midst of it all, there is More Great News.

The Japanese people are proving to be warriors with
a most profound and provocative message. They are
living proof of a people endowed with great energy,
courage and wisdom.

They are demonstrating for the world what it
means to be, as Yoko Ono puts it, "all together
in spirit."

In my view, it's a "wake up call" for the rest
of the world.

This is truly More Great News.

The Japanese culture is a beautiful model for all
to see, a model of stillness in the middle of chaos.
There is an almost peaceful calm across the
entire country.

In the absence of looting and rioting there is instead
a sense of community; of people helping each other
through a difficult time.

With the shortage of food and water, one might
expect to see a rash of emotion (anger, frustration,
anxiety and the like). In its place is a representation
of what they value above all else: order and civility.

There are no complaints...just a 9.0 rippling of
good will and enviable resilience; a people
blessed with the gift of humility and gratitude.

As I send my personal prayer, I am in awe of
the message they are sending to all observers.

More Great News "We are free at last..."

EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it! A FREE EGYPT
is the song now playing in the streets of Cairo. The
demonstrators have prevailed as they bring power to
the people. While this is more great news, it's only the
beginning of a long road ahead.

EGYPT is FREE...People power provides

potent antidote for oppressive dictatorship.

Mubarak exits

It's bye bye Mubarak as Egypt's peaceful warriors

fill Tahrir Square in celebration of their victory waving

flags and chanting "Egypt is Free."

The will of the people prevailed as they stood united

for a FREE EGYPT.

People, united for a common cause, sent a message

of hope to the many who still remain innocent victims

of tyrannical leaders.

They were willing to die for it (freedom), as their

unyielding passion captured our attention and

admiration.

While much work remains, there is cause for

celebration. Enjoy the party but remain vigilant
in your quest for freedom and your God given
right for full and righteous expression.

Today Egypt is Free.

Congratulations to the Egyptian people for their

courage in standing together to bring about change.

A Free Egypt is More Great News for all who

yearn to have a voice and live in a peaceful and
just world.

To your credit, you have been heard.

In the words of Martin Luther King, you are
"free at last."

May all of your dreams and promises be fulfilled

and may your transition be swift and smooth.

It was John Lennon who first gave us a glimpse of the
future. His song and words "POWER To The PEOPLE"
have endured the test of time. Freedom will never go "out
of style." The future is now. Fear of an oppressed people is
dissipating and in its place is an unrelenting determination to
have a voice that is heard.

Millions of people have listened to "Power to the People."
Many more will hear them for the first time...and suddenly,
they will understand.

Eyes of the World on Miners is More Great News

More Great News...It's refreshing to watch the
Chilean miners as they are rescued one-by-one. In front
of an appreciative and admiring audience, one can only
wonder "why" we place so much of our attention on the
bad news.

This is so-o-o much better! There's genuine joy and exhilaration.

Everyone seems to be enjoying the magic of the moment. As
triumph of the human spirit unfolds, we begin to see the
truth of what it takes to build "A Better World.

The eyes of the world are seeing first-hand, the results of a
cooperative effort...of people working together as ONE.

What a wonderful message. Real life heroes...emerging from below
the ground...and supported by teams of people above the ground,
all pulling in the same direction. The unified response of so
many creates a picture we all love.

It's good stuff!

We are One people, living on One planet, breathing the same air.
Together we will prosper; divided we will fall.

It's a message that is truly worth looking at...

United, in a spirit of harmony, WE CAN Build A Better World.

The world is watching. The time to celebrate is now. The time to
begin looking at the world "with new eyes" is now. It's "One
Moment In Time."

The moment to take action is NOW.

More Great News

They're back and they're coming on strong.

President Barack Obama gets credit for
reuniting 60's rock band Grateful Dead.

And, guess what? They're bringing their own stimulus package
to the table as they prepare for a 19 city tour. It's good for the
economy. It's good for America. It's More Great News.

The Grateful Dead won the hearts of mothers and fathers who
grew up in the 60's. Now their children are getting an opportunity
to see and hear the band that fell apart because they could no
longer find a place of agreement. They say they had too many
differences. So, welcome to the world!

The great news is that they're coming back older and wiser.
They say they gained their new perspective from President
elect Barack Obama. How about that?

They're coming together in a way that celebrates their differences
or puts a focus on what they have in common.

Bravo...

That really is More Great News! It's more of what we need
to hear and to act upon.

Why?

Because it's easy to look at the things that separate us.

I call them the ABC's which stand for Accusation,
Blame and Criticism.

Look, anyone can tell you "the bad news."

The media is filled with news about everything that's
wrong with people, society and the world. It's the
truth, isn't it?

And, isn't it also true that what we focus our
attention on grows? We listen to garbage. We
take it into our heads and wonder why things
are falling apart?

We've got it backwards. We don't want to
perpetuate and expand what's wrong, do we?
We want to concentrate and focus on what's right.

So what's it gonna' be? It's my choice, isn't it? It's up to
each of us "to choose what we take in."

Sally was on emotional overload. She had experienced
one of the worst days of her life. She'd been diagnosed
with breast cancer and her best friend Sam was dying
from an inoperable tumor.

To make matters worse, the T.V. was blaring in the
background with news of more corporate downsizing,
layoffs and rising unemployment.

Stress is everywhere. In times of trouble, it seems
